If I could study a topic, I would choose my senior project, pastry arts. This is what I am planning on going to college for and later turn into my career, therefore I would like to learn as much as possible on my own before I get to college. It seems like such a small career and major but it is bigger than everyone thinks. If I had to write a seven page paper on this subject, I would write why I wish to do this, what is involved, and so on. As a soon to be student of the baking industry, I want to learn and better understand the ins and outs of baking such as the tools, the terms, the concepts, and learn how to expand my creativity. This is something I love to do and am very excited to pursue. Nothing is worse than having a career you are unhappy with and I feel like I will be extremely happy with my choice, even more so after my internship and research.

My topic!

It sounds like you have a lot of ideas knocking around, and with some reading and thought, you'll hit on a focused thesis.
ReplyDeleteFor example - Baking - What about baking do you want to prove. I've encountered articles about transfats in my reading over the last couple years, and I know that the industry is moving away from them. A good research paper could be about how the vast reduction of transfats is transforming the industry. Or how about the way the organic food movement is impacting baked goods.
